Airport Option: Arrive in San Marcos the day of and stay the night at The Forest. We can help to arrange a private shuttle direct to San Marcos from the airport early that morning so that you arrive at our meeting point by 1:00 pm.

Antigua Option: From the airport, take a shuttle/uber/taxi straight to Antigua Guatemala and stay in a hotel in Antigua for the night (see recommendations below). Antigua has great restaurants, markets, nightlife and is a safe tourist town. From there, take a collective shuttle for the earliest departure the next morning at 8:00 am sharp (arrange at any travel agency the night prior) and begin your journey to the lake in order to arrive at the meeting point for 1:00 pm. We can also arrange private transport from Antigua if needed.

Arrival Day: You must be in San Marcos la Laguna by 1:00 pm at the latest on the arrival day for an escorted pickup in town (this would mean catching an early 8:00 am shuttle from Antigua at the latest). There will be one free escorted pickup arranged for the arrival day from Circles Cafe, at 1:00 pm sharp.

Porter Support: If you need porters for your group to carry their bags, there will be a $10 USD per bag porterage charge added to your individual bill. We do charge $20 USD per bag for oversized bags and late pickups from 7 pm - 7 am. Make sure you have arrived on time for the pickup.

Departure Day: We suggest scheduling your flight out of Guatemala either in the late afternoon or evening (after 6:00 pm) of the last day of the retreat (Private shuttle would be necessary to arrive in time), or stay a day or two extra.

Private and collective shuttles can be arranged with Kawoq Forest staff a few days prior to departure. Ideally, shuttles need to leave Kawoq Forest 6 hours prior to flight time for departure.

Arrange Transportation: Kawoq Forest can arrange a private transfer from the airport or Antigua to bring you straight to San Marcos la Laguna, to arrive either for the free escorted pickup or the driver will walk you to Kawoq Forest. You will need to contact info@kawoqforest.com with your flight number, airline, arrival time and departure city.

Please note that Circles Cafe is a separate business entity. Our escorts will look for you outside of the venue. If you wish to enter and purchase items from the cafe, please be on the lookout for our escorts.
