In the Mayan tradition, the Tuj is a sacred steam bath that symbolizes a return to the mother's womb. More than a relaxation experience, it is a ritual of purification and healing, guided by prayers and offerings. In this ceremonial space, fire, water, earth, and air come together to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit, fostering a deep connection with ancestral wisdom.
Difference from a sauna: While a sauna focuses on relaxation and physical benefits, the Tuj is a spiritual and ceremonial experience with the purpose of transformation and holistic balance.

The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year, symbolizing fullness and abundance. For the Maya, this solstice marks the peak of the solar cycle, a time to celebrate the richness of life. In 2025, this special day is influenced by the Nahual Ajpu, representing courage and clarity. Our ceremony will focus on honoring abundance and cultivating clarity and bravery in our lives.

The Autumn Equinox is another moment of balance between day and night, marking the transition into harvest season. In Maya tradition, this equinox is a time to give thanks for the abundance received and reflect on the cycles of life. In 2025, this day is guided by the Nahual Iq’, representing the breath of life and communication. Our ceremony will focus on gratitude for our blessings and the renewal of our spirit through communication and connection with the vital breath.

The winter solstice is the shortest day of the year, symbolizing introspection and rebirth. For the Maya, this solstice marks the beginning of a new solar cycle, a time for reflection and preparation for renewal. In 2025, this day falls under the influence of the nahual Kan, which represents vital energy and wisdom. Our ceremony will focus on introspection, seeking to renew our life energy and gain wisdom for the new cycle ahead.

In the Cacao Ceremony, we open a sacred space to connect with our hearts, our ancestors, and the spirits of nature, honoring the energy of the day according to the Mayan Calendar. Through an inner journey with the nahuales and an energetic cleansing with plants, tobacco, and copal, the body and spirit are purified, restoring inner balance. This space helps us release blockages and awaken our creative power, connecting us with ancestral wisdom.

A private ceremony around the sacred Mayan fire, where a spiritual guide will perform a Nahual reading, offering messages and teachings based on the Mayan cosmovision.
The Nahual Reading is a practice rooted in the Mayan cosmovision, interpreting the energy a person was born with according to the Sacred Cholq’ij Calendar. Each person has a Nahual, which represents their gifts, challenges, and life purpose. During a reading, a spiritual guide (Ajq’ij) analyzes the combination of Nahuales and birth energies to provide personal and spiritual guidance.
